London, 30 September 2025 — Lúnasa Space, a UK-based space-tech company developing mission-enabling technologies for satellite servicing and autonomy, is proud to announce it has been awarded two new international contracts under the UK Space Agency’s International Bilateral Fund (IBF) Call 2.
These prestigious awards, announced today at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Sydney, recognise Lúnasa’s role in delivering next-generation capabilities for in-orbit servicing, autonomy, and satellite navigation.
Through IBF Call 2, Lúnasa will lead two international collaborations:
ARGUS – In partnership with Space Machines Company (Australia)
This project will accelerate the integration of Lúnasa’s StarLogic™ autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) kit onto GEO-Viper, a commercial GEO inspection satellite developed by Space Machines Company. The project will adapt the technology for the geostationary environment and elevate its maturity from TRL 5 to TRL 7, delivering a flight-ready solution for future in-orbit servicing missions.
RANGER – In partnership with Infinite Orbits (France)
RANGER will mature Lúnasa’s R-GNSS relative navigation technology, specifically tailored for satellite servicing in geostationary orbit. Integrated with Infinite Orbits’ servicing satellite, the project will advance the technology from TRL 5 to TRL 7, involving hardware/software integration, simulation, testing, and qualification. This capability is a key enabler for future autonomous rendezvous and servicing missions in high-value orbital regimes.
